MISSION STATEMENT/DEPARTMENTAL PURPOSE:
The mission of the St. Croix County Building
Services Department is to provide a comfortable, attractive environment for
county employees, as well as county patrons. The department's goal is to
preserve and to extend the useful life of existing facilities, as well as assist
in planning and design for additional county buildings as required. To Maintain
the appearance of all county buildings and grounds. To assist in the efficient
usage of space needs. To provide emergency repairs and preventive maintenance of
equipment and structures.
SERVICES:
 | The St. Croix County Building Services
Department, under the direction of the Facilities Manager, services
approximately 320,000 square feet of buildings and their respective grounds.
The department maintains the Nursing Home, Human Services building, Farm
buildings, two houses at the Health Center, St. Croix Industries, the
Government Center/Jail and the Farm Service Agency/Land and Water Conservation
Department building.

| In addition to these services, the
Facilities Manager provides consultation to other department heads, elected
officials and meets on a regular basis with the Administrative Coordinator
and Human Services Director. The Facilities Manager acts as a liaison to the
Finance and Building Committee and coordinates major construction and
renovation projects with architects and contractors. Also designs and
implements new procedures for operation of equipment and systems.

preventive maintenance, repair, cleaning, remodeling, construction, grounds
maintenance, electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, and telephones. |
It is the goal of the department to operate
in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner.
