Welcome to the St Croix County Foster Care Website

St Croix County Family and Children's Services is a public agency committed to preserving and strengthening the family unit whenever possible. The agency operates on the belief that children have a right to grow up in a stable home environment and to have permanent membership in a family, preferably their own, who can provide them a foundation and sense of belonging. When children are unable to live with their family, it is necessary to find an alternate arrangement for their care. If there are no available appropriate relative caregivers and the child can function satisfactorily in a community setting, then the agency relies on foster parents to care for the child. St Croix County Family and Children's Services is continually recruiting for additional foster care resources. If you are interested in learning more about foster care and becoming a foster parent, please review the information contained in this website. If you have questions or would like to speak with a licensing worker, please contact Social Worker John Bretl at 715.246.8317 or email him at johnb@co.saint-croix.wi.us.
