Children With Special Health Care Needs
An estimated 15-18% of children in Wisconsin are children with special health care needs. These children are birth to 21 years of age and have a long term, chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, or emotional illness or condition. The Wisconsin Division of Public Health, Children with Special Health Care Needs (CSHCN) Program in January 2000 awarded contracts to establish CSHCN Centers in each of the five Division regions.
