MISSION STATEMENT/DEPARTMENTAL PURPOSE:

Birth to Three St. Croix Early Intervention Program provides educational, therapeutic and support services to children from birth to three years old who have atypical or delayed development. Children suspected of having delays in speech, learning, movement and coordination, personal-social or adaptive skills can be referred for screening or evaluation by parents, physicians, social workers, childcare providers or other concerned persons.

 

SERVICES:

EVALUATION: Following initial screening, children are evaluated by an early intervention team which may include an early childhood teacher, occupational therapist, a speech and language therapist, physical therapist, nutritionist, nurse or other professional whose skills are needed to complete a comprehensive multi-disciplinary assessment.

ELIGIBILITY
