What would you pay for good vision with a new pair of glasses? A day’s wages? A week’s? For many people in developing countries, one month’s wages will barely cover an eye exam—assuming they can even secure an appointment. Local Lions Clubs have recognized the urgent need for corrective lenses and continue to fight the problem with the Recycle For Sight program right here in St Croix County.

Local Lions Clubs collect eyeglasses for distribution in developing countries. Check with your local Lions Club for collection points or drop them off at the Planning & Zoning Department at the St Croix County Government Center in Hudson, Citizen’s State Bank in Roberts or 1^st National Bank in Hammond. Most eye clinics and Goodwill Industries also have collection boxes.
