 | Review and issue all sanitary permits, and, inspect
installation of sanitary systems in order to safeguard the investment and
health and safety of the public.

 | Administer the Zoning Ordinance and all land use
ordinances.

 | Administer the subdivision ordinance by reviewing all
Certified Survey Maps (CSM’s)and major plats for ordinance conformity and
design.

 | Administer the Shoreland, Wetland, Floodplain and Lower St.
Croix Riverway provisions of the Zoning Ordinance in order to protect the
natural environment, water quality both surface and ground, and, to
safeguard the public health and safety.

 | Work with government agencies and the public to protect the
natural environment.
|
 | Enforce the provisions of all ordinances including
revocation of Special Exceptions the issuance of citations and court action
when required.
|
 | Enforce the provisions of all ordinances including

 | Cooperate with the Towns in the administration of the
Zoning Ordinance by overseeing and coordinating their activities, and, by
providing training for Town Deputy Zoning Administrators.

 | Provide the public with requested information, and, advise
the public, Town and County Officials on zoning issues. |
The towns of Hudson, Cady, and Forest are only subject to
County regulations that relate to Shoreland & Floodplain Zoning, Subdivision
and Platting, Sanitary Code, and Non-metallic Mining. Individual towns and
municipalities will likely have rules and regulations that apply under certain
circumstances and should be contacted even if other County regulations apply. It
is also recommended that you contact any State agency that may have regulations
that are applicable. The following municipalities are not subject to County
regulations, except when municipalities have yet to formally adopt shoreland and
floodplain zoning:
